	American Red Cross Blood Drives American Red Cross blood drives held three times per year in the large classroom of Charlevoix Area Hospital. To make your appointment call American Red Cross at 800-RED CROSS or www.redcrossblood.org sponsor code: CAH
	Circle of Strength Cancer Support Group Cancer support group in the hospital’s large classroom on the first Wednesday of each month from 10:30 am to 12pm.
	Circle of Strength Mammogram Vouchers (FREE) Vouchers for free mammograms provided to women who cannot afford them. No financial sliding scale assessment or explanation necessary. A physician’s order is still required. Click here for a printable version of this voucher
	Pink Ribbon Ride Proceeds raised by the Pink Ribbon Bike Ride support The Circle of Strength through Charlevoix Area Hospital which in turn provides mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies to area women as well as financial and emotional support for these women and their families. To date, the Pink Ribbon Ride has donated $100,000 to Charlevoix Area Hospital to help pay for these services.
	Hospital and Career Exploration Tours Fun and interactive tours led by the Community Health Educator, open to students of any age.
	Read to Me Program Books are provided to Boyne City, Charlevoix, and East Jordan offices to give to parents during well child exams to encourage reading with their children.
	Area Business Health Screenings ($10.00 per person) Total Cholesterol, HDL, Ratio, Glucose and if fasting for 12 hours or more: LDL and Triglyceride levels. Weight, BMI, and Blood Pressure will also be assessed. Dietician consultation is available upon request. Office ergonomic evaluation and training by a team of Occupational Therapists.
	School Education Participate in High School, Middle, and Elementary school career days.
	Freedom From Smoking Clinic Charlevoix Area Hospital along with the American Lung Association wants to help you quit smoking. If you have reached the point where you are ready to be free from smoking this program will provide support, guidance and advice to help you reach your goal. This 8 session, 7 week program is held at Charlevoix Area Hospital or at your local place of business with prior arrangements.
	Fit-4-Life for Adults ($240 for 14 weeks) If you are among the 25 million Americans that are overweight or obese, your risks for death and disability are significantly higher. You are most likely coping with ongoing pain, fatigue, difficulty moving, sleep deprivation or other obstacles to a vibrant, healthy life. Each year that passes without you taking charge of your health is an opportunity missed – an opportunity to feel good, enjoy greater energy, and feel less stressed. The good news is that if you are committed to making positive changes in your lifestyle, Charlevoix Area Hospital’s Fit-4-Life program can teach you how to reclaim your health and vitality. This 14-week program can help you turn your life around with the help of experts in the fields of nutrition, physical therapy, and nursing. Charlevoix Area Hospital’s Fit-4-Life Program will empower you with the tools you’ll need to embrace wellness including an individually tailored exercise program and eating REAL food.
	Fit-4-Life for Kids (FREE to Area Schools) The “Charlevoix Area Hospital Fit-4-Life” school program targets students at high-risk at high risk for cardiovascular disease and obesity. Education will be provided in the areas of: obesity management and prevention, nutrition, fitness, disease prevention and risk factor management. The primary objective is to target, contain, reduce, and/or prevent childhood obesity. Pedometers will be provided to each student. A family oriented evening event will also be offered to elicit parental support *. Free cholesterol testing, a health-oriented speaker, pedometers, and nutritional instruction will be provided to students and family members.
	School Nurse Program Charlevoix Area Hospital (CAH) currently employs four full-time school nurses. They are pictured here at last year’s end of school CAH School Nurse Fun Run held each year at the hospital. 	Weight Watchers AT WORK The next Weight Watchers AT WORK session starts Friday, April 12, 2013 at Charlevoix Area Hospital. Classes will be held every Friday at 12:00pm for a 12-week period. All participants must register online for this session by FRIDAY, APRIL 12, 2013 and a MINIMUM OF 15 PARTICIPANTS is needed in order for the Week One Session to be held on FRIDAY, APRIL 19, 2013 @ 12:00 PM.
